I've been shopping at J.Crew since I was twelve, although not as much since I've been living in the UK (or during the four years that composed my "punk period" in my early 20's - but we don't need to get into that.) It's a great place to pick up reasonably priced classic pieces. Of course, I love J. Crew even more since Jenna Lyons got onboard in 2007. (You can read an interesting piece of some of Jenna Lyon's favorite things over at Elle Decor, by the way.)
Lately, I''ve really got this military inspired peacoat on the brain. I had a similar one that I found at Banana Republic about ten years ago. I had it for ages and absolutely wore to death - to the point that a couple of years ago, I had to officially retire it. I also really love the cashmere sweatshirt. Even though Karl Lagerfeld has said that "sweatpants are the ultimate sign of defeat," I'd like to think that he'd approve of a cashmere sweatshirt, which would go really well with my Etoile Isabel Marant skinny jeans and those crazy Ash trainers, don't you think? I normally stay away from leopard print, which I tend to find a little scary and "cougarish," but I really like the print on this handbag. The pleated silk-chiffon blouse, of course, is just super pretty - and a nod to my latest obsession with coral (which you can see a lot more of in this moodboard that I made yesterday.)
A friendly little reminder: there are only two days left to enter my Astrid & Miyo giveaway. You can enter (and read more details about that) here. Hope that you're all having a great weekend!
Yes! I was not big on the whole sweatshirt thing either, but I was looking at a cashmere on in Cos yesterday, and I think it might not actually be that bad!
